5 Cheeky Challenges of Aging with ADHD (And Solutions to Keep Your Chill)

Aging with ADHD Gracefully! They say age is just a number. But when you’re aging with ADHD, it is more like a magical adventure through a land filled with lost keys, half-finished projects, and untamed daydreams. Welcome, fellow travelers, to the mesmerizing maze of aging with ADHD, where your brain is always one step ahead (or behind) you, and you still can’t find your glasses (hint: they’re on your head). But don’t worry – we’ve got some solutions to help you find your chill and age gracefully. Challenge  1: Forgetfulness, or the Art of Losing Things in Style (and Finding Them Again) As we gracefully are aging with ADHD, forgetfulness turns into a refined art form. It’s not just about misplacing our keys anymore; we’ve leveled up to losing entire wallets, phones, and on occasion, our own pants. The solution? Designate specific spots for essential items and make a habit of putting them there. Sticky notes with reminders or a smart speaker to announce essential tasks can also be helpful. And if all else fails, invest in a key finder because why not turn losing things into a high-tech adventure? Challenge 2: Time Management, or the Endless Pursuit of the Perfect Planner (and Actually Using It) In our quest to become masters of time, as we are aging with ADHD, we inevitably fall into the bottomless pit of planner obsession. Bullet journals, digital calendars, whiteboards, sticky notes – we’ve tried them all. The trick is to choose one system that works best for you and stick with it. Set reminders, establish routines, and break tasks into manageable chunks. And remember, it’s not about having a perfect planner; it’s about consistently using it to manage your time. Challenge 3: Hobbies, or the Great Accumulation (and the Art of Letting Go)  As we are aging with ADHD, our collection of hobbies multiply like rabbits! From knitting to woodworking, we’ve dabbled in it all. While exploring new interests is great, it’s essential to recognize when we’ve taken on too much (In this case, I need to take my own advice, I have more hobbies than Imelda Marcos had shoes)! Try focusing on one or two hobbies at a time, and don’t be afraid to let go of the ones that no longer bring joy. After all, decluttering is good for the soul (and for finding that missing sock). Challenge 4: Conversations, or the Fine Art of Meandering (and Staying on Track) Aging with ADHD means mastering the delicate dance of conversation. We’ve honed our skills at veering off-topic, circling back, and then veering off again. To stay on track, use visual cues or mental anchors to help guide your discussions. And if you find yourself lost in a conversational labyrinth, don’t hesitate to ask for a gentle nudge back to the topic. Your friends will appreciate your efforts (and may even miss your meandering musings). Challenge 5: Memory Lapses, or the Game of “What Was I Saying?” (and Remembering It) As our minds age like fine wine, so does our penchant for forgetting what we were saying mid-sentence. To combat this, use mnemonic devices, like acronyms or visualizations, to help retain critical information. You can also practice mindfulness techniques to improve focus and mental clarity. And when those elusive thoughts slip away, don’t be too hard on yourself – everyone experiences memory lapses, ADHD or not. Embracing the Chaos (and the Solutions) Aging with ADHD is not for the faint of heart, but it’s also not without its charm – or its solutions. By implementing practical strategies and maintaining a sense of humor, we can navigate the challenges of forgetfulness, time management, hobbies, conversations, and memory lapses with grace and confidence. So, let’s embrace the chaos, wear our forgetfulness with pride, and remember to laugh at ourselves as we navigate this wild, whirlwind journey through time. And as we find and apply solutions to our ADHD challenges, we may finally discover where we put our chill – right next to our newfound sense of accomplishment and self-awareness. Using Chassidus for ADHD: 5 Ways to to Heroically Harness the Power of Mindfulness and Structure

What about Using Chassidus for ADHD? Chassidus, also known as Hasidism or Chassidic philosophy, is a spiritual and social movement within Judaism that originated in Eastern Europe during the 18th century. It was founded by Rabbi Israel Baal Shem Tov, who sought to make Jewish spirituality more accessible and emphasized the importance of joy, love, and mysticism in religious practice. At this point, you may be asking yourself, “I’m not even Jewish; in fact, I’m an agnostic!  What does this have to do with my ADHD, and how the bleep should I be using Chassidus for ADHD? Chassidus offers universally valuable principles that can benefit individuals of diverse religious and non-religious backgrounds. Its teachings on cultivating joy, mindfulness, and structure can be adapted to suit various belief systems or secular lifestyles. People can enhance their growth and well-being by embracing these universally applicable concepts. This holds true regardless of one’s belief in a higher power or specific religious affiliation. In other words, whether you are Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, Zoroastrian, none of the above, all of the above, or something other than the above, this article can apply to you! Entrepreneurs with ADHD face unique challenges in managing their time, focus, and energy levels. While professional treatment is often necessary, many are seeking complementary approaches to help manage their symptoms more effectively. One such system can be found in the ancient principles of Chassidus, a spiritual movement within Judaism that emphasizes joy, love, and mysticism. So grab yourself a drink and get ready to explore how you can utilize Chassidic practices, such as mindfulness, meditation, and structured daily routines, which can benefit ADHD entrepreneurs in their personal and professional lives, no matter their religious affiliation. 1) Mindfulness and Meditation: Chassidus encourages mindfulness and meditation practices that can help individuals with ADHD improve their focus and self-awareness. Hisbodedus (personal meditation and self-reflection) and Hitbonenut (deep contemplation of divine concepts) are examples of Chassidic practices promoting inner calm and mental clarity. By incorporating these techniques into their daily routine, ADHD entrepreneurs can gain better control over their thoughts, reduce anxiety, and enhance their ability to concentrate on essential tasks. For more on mindfulness meditation, feel free to request a meeting 2)Structured Daily Routine: A structured daily routine is a core principle of Chassidus. While it traditionally involves regular prayer and Bible study, secular individuals can adapt this concept to their own lives by setting aside specific times for work, exercise, and relaxation. Implementing a consistent schedule can provide a sense of stability and organization for ADHD entrepreneurs, helping them to manage their time more effectively and maintain focus on their goals. 3) Spiritual Connection and Purpose: Developing a solid sense of purpose and meaning in one’s life can provide individuals with ADHD with the motivation and drive they need to succeed in their entrepreneurial endeavors. While Chassidus emphasizes a connection with God, secular individuals can benefit similarly by focusing on their personal values, passions, and long-term objectives. Cultivating a strong sense of purpose can help ADHD entrepreneurs overcome feelings of restlessness and inattention, allowing them to stay focused on their goals.  Using Chassidus for ADHD indeed connects one to their purpose in life. 4) Joy and Positivity: The Chassidic emphasis on joy and positivity can help improve mood and self-esteem for individuals with ADHD. By cultivating an optimistic outlook and focusing on the positive aspects of life, Using Chassidus for ADHD would involve fostering greater resilience and motivation in the face of challenges. Techniques such as gratitude journaling or engaging in joyful activities can help individuals maintain a positive mindset and boost their overall well-being. 5) Community and Support: While traditional Chassidic communities offer strong social support networks, secular ADHD entrepreneurs can benefit from using Chassidus for ADHD by building their own support systems. Connecting with like-minded individuals and joining networking groups or ADHD support communities can provide encouragement, understanding, and companionship. These connections can play a crucial role in helping ADHD entrepreneurs navigate the ups and downs of their personal and professional lives.  The key, of course, to Using Chassidus for ADHD is in utilizing community! While Chassidic principles and practices may not directly treat ADHD, using Chassidus for ADHD by adapting these concepts to suit a secular lifestyle can offer valuable tools for managing symptoms and promoting personal growth. By incorporating mindfulness, meditation, structure, and a focus on joy and purpose into their lives, ADHD entrepreneurs can cultivate resilience, improve focus, and achieve tremendous success in their endeavors. ADHD email management: 15 Mind-Blowing Methodologies to keep your Email from Driving you Batty

Is your ADHD email management driving you to drink? Is your ADHD email management (or lack of it) keeping you awake at night? Ah, email. The digital equivalent of finding a needle in a haystack. Or, in our case, an important email among a sea of spam. As an entrepreneur with ADHD, you’re probably used to juggling multiple tasks simultaneously. It’s your superpower! But let’s face it; when it comes to emails, you’d rather wrestle with an alligator than sort through your overflowing inbox. Don’t worry. With ADHD email management. We can help you find that elusive, important email while navigating the maze of spam. Buckle up because it’s going to be a wild ride. Step 1: Set Up Filters and Labels Use your email client’s built-in filters and labels to sort incoming messages automatically. By setting up rules based on keywords, sender, or subject, you can direct emails to specific folders or categories. This way, you can keep your important emails separate from spam and promotions. Step 2: Unsubscribe and Block Take the time to unsubscribe from newsletters and promotional emails you never read. This will drastically reduce the number of spam emails you receive. Also, block senders who repeatedly spam so their messages don’t clog up your inbox. Step 3: Schedule Regular Email Check-Ins To prevent your inbox from becoming unmanageable, designate specific times during the day to check and respond to your emails. This will help you stay focused on your tasks while ensuring you don’t miss any important messages. Step 4: Use Email Management Tools Several email management tools can help you declutter your inbox and stay on top of your messages. Tools like SaneBox, Unroll.Me, and Maelstrom can help filter, unsubscribe, and sort your emails, making it easier to find important messages amidst the spam. Step 5: Keep Your Inbox Clean Make it a habit to clean your inbox regularly. Archive or delete emails you no longer need, and keep only the ones that require your attention or need to be saved for future reference. A clean inbox will make it easier to spot important emails when they arrive. Step 6: Set Up Email Reminders As an entrepreneur with ADHD, it’s essential to have reminders to help you stay on top of your tasks. Use your email client’s built-in reminder feature or try an app like FollowUpThen, which allows you to schedule email reminders for yourself and others. Step 7: Prioritize and Delegate Identify the emails that require your immediate attention and prioritize them. For less urgent messages, consider delegating them to a team member or scheduling time later in the day to address them. This will help you stay focused on your most important tasks without getting bogged down by your inbox. Step 8: Keep Your Emails Short and Sweet To save time and reduce the number of emails in your inbox, try to keep your messages brief and to the point. This will also make it easier for recipients to read and respond to your emails, improving overall communication and efficiency. Step 9: Embrace the Power of ADHD While ADHD can make email management challenging, it also has unique strengths. Use your creativity, problem-solving skills, and hyperfocus to your advantage as you tackle your inbox and keep your entrepreneurial dreams on track. Step 10: Create Templates and Canned Responses As an entrepreneur, you may often find yourself sending similar emails to different recipients. Save time by creating templates or canned responses for these repetitive messages. This will streamline your email process and ensure consistent communication with your clients, partners, and team members. Step 11: Implement the “Two-Minute Rule” When checking your email, apply the “two-minute rule.” If a message can be responded to or dealt with in two minutes or less, do it immediately. This helps to minimize the number of pending emails in your inbox and reduces the chance of forgetting to respond to important messages. Step 12: Set Boundaries and Establish an Email Routine Establishing boundaries around your email usage can reduce distractions and improve productivity. Avoid checking your email first thing in the morning or right before bed. Instead, create a dedicated email routine that allows you to focus on your priorities and maintain a healthy work-life balance. Step 13: Use Collaboration Tools To reduce your reliance on email for communication, consider using collaboration tools like Slack, Asana, or Trello. These platforms allow for real-time communication, task management, and file sharing, reducing the need for lengthy email threads and making it easier to stay organized. Step 14: Break Tasks into Smaller Steps For entrepreneurs, one of the best ADHD email management is breaking tasks into smaller, manageable steps can help maintain focus and prevent overwhelm. When faced with a complex email, break it down into more minor actions, such as researching, drafting a response, and scheduling a follow-up. This approach can make it easier for ADHD email management without getting bogged down. Step 15: Celebrate Your Progress Acknowledging and celebrating your progress  in ADHD email management as you implement these email management strategies is essential. Recognize the improvements in your productivity and organization, and use these successes to motivate yourself to continue refining your email habits. As an entrepreneur with ADHD, you may not have the most organized inbox (even though your ADHD email management may now be superb). Still, you certainly have the most entertaining stories. Embrace the chaos and keep charging forward, knowing you can tackle anything, even if it involves wrestling spam emails and the occasional alligator. After all, you’re an entrepreneur with ADHD, and that’s your superpower. So how else can you keep your ADHD email management from making you a martyr of the digital age? 5 Reasons to Maximize Productivity with Redundant Digital Communications

Redundant Digital Communication Systems is Your Friend. In the 21st-century workforce, redundant digital communications are vital! In the 21st-century workforce, redundant digital communications are vital! Now, Am I being redundant here? One would be surprised as to how much this is ignored by entrepreneurs and remote workers. It is especially crucial for those with ADHD to harness the power of digital communications to stay connected, organized, and productive.   Redundant systems of digital communication can play a vital role in ensuring these individuals thrive in their work environments. There are so many digital distractions that critical communications can sometimes be missed. So, I figured it might be interesting to explore the importance of utilizing redundant systems and how they can significantly benefit those with ADHD. 1) Enhanced Reliability Remote workers and entrepreneurs with ADHD often struggle to stay organized and focused. Redundant communication systems, like having multiple messaging apps or communication channels, provide a safety net against technical glitches or connectivity issues. With various platforms at your disposal, you’re less likely to miss important messages or deadlines, ensuring that your ADHD doesn’t become a barrier to success. 2) Improved Organization Managing tasks and staying on top of your to-do list can be a struggle for individuals with ADHD. By utilizing redundant digital communication tools, such as project management apps, cloud storage, and email, you can create a systematic approach to organizing your tasks, files, and discussions. Each platform can serve as a backup, helping you manage projects more effectively and reduce the likelihood of lost or misplaced information. 3) Better Focus and Productivity For remote workers and entrepreneurs with ADHD, staying focused can be a considerable challenge. Redundant digital communication systems can provide multiple touchpoints for reminders and updates. For example, receiving a notification from both your email and messaging app can increase the chances of you noticing and attending to important messages or tasks. This extra reinforcement layer can help you stay on track and focus on your priorities. 4) Adaptability to Varied Work Environments With ADHD, finding the right work environment that helps you stay focused and productive is essential. Redundant digital communication systems enable you to adapt to various work settings and situations, whether you’re in a coworking space, at home, or traveling. By having multiple platforms to access information, you can ensure that you’re always connected and in control of your work, regardless of your location. 5) Foster Stronger Collaborative Relationships Effective communication is vital for remote workers and entrepreneurs with ADHD.  Redundant digital communication channels allow flexibility in collaborating with colleagues, clients, and partners. Some people may prefer email, while others may lean towards instant messaging or video calls. Using more than one method is especially vital in critical communication. Spam is also a huge distraction.  I get hundreds of SPAM emails in a day.  Don’t think that Spam folders help that much; SPAMers have the technology to bypass your SPAM box, meaning that email telling you about a certain supplement can… (use your imagination). Your game-changing email could get lost in between the one telling the recipient that they have a long lost Uncle in Nigeria and the one offering them the opportunity to be a millionaire… if they only send them all their bank account information. Don’t just email, email AND text, or email AND WhatsApp. By utilizing redundant systems of communication, you’ll be better equipped to build strong professional relationships and foster a positive working environment. Redundant digital communications systems are essential for remote workers and entrepreneurs with ADHD. They offer enhanced reliability, improved organization, better focus and productivity, adaptability to varied work environments, and stronger collaborative relationships. By embracing these systems, individuals with ADHD can navigate their remote work journey more effectively and confidently, maximizing their potential for success. So how can you utilize redundant digital communications? The answer is to call Dr. Get in Focus; he can show you! 6 Kabbalistic Principles of Focus for ADHD Entrepreneurs: Boost Your Focus and Skyrocket Productivity

Unlock the Power of Ancient Wisdom of Focus for ADHD Entrepreneurs to Supercharge Your Entrepreneurial Journey   When I was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), I began a journey to find the lost key to focus.  Lost focus for ADHD Entrepreneurs can be a business killer!  Staying focused and maintaining productivity can be a constant struggle. Much to my surprise,   I found a good deal of those answers close to home: in the ancient Hebrew text of the Kabbalah. Kabbalistic principles offer an unconventional approach to help ADHD entrepreneurs harness their unique strengths, regain focus, and achieve their full potential. This article will explore these ancient teachings and provide practical strategies for utilizing Kabbalistic principles to focus for ADHD Entrepreneurs to skyrocket productivity. 1) Balance the Sefirot: The Tree of Life The Kabbalah teaches that the Sefirot, or the ten attributes/emanations through which the divine interacts with the world, can provide a framework for balance and harmony. Focus for ADHD Entrepreneurs means striking a balance between creative energy and discipline!  This is crucial; by understanding the interplay between the Sefirot, one can develop strategies for harmonizing the mind and directing energy toward productivity. 2) Tikkun Olam: Repairing the World Tikkun Olam is a concept in Kabbalah that emphasizes the human responsibility to repair and perfect the world. For ADHD entrepreneurs, tapping into the motivation behind their ventures can increase focus and drive. By aligning their business goals with the broader aim of improving the world, entrepreneurs can find a deeper sense of purpose and determination, which can help combat the distractions and impulsivity characteristic of ADHD. 3) The Power of Intention: Kavanah Kavanah, or intention, is a central concept in Kabbalah that underscores the importance of mindfulness and directed focus. ADHD entrepreneurs can leverage this principle by setting specific intentions for each task and project. Creating a daily routine, prioritizing tasks, and practicing mindfulness techniques can bring intention to the forefront, enhancing concentration and overall productivity. 4) The Art of Restriction: Tzimtzum Tzimtzum, or self-restriction, is a Kabbalistic concept that describes the process by which the divine contracted itself to create space for the universe. ADHD entrepreneurs can apply this principle by learning to set boundaries and limit distractions. Strategies such as the Pomodoro Technique or time-blocking can help entrepreneurs create a structured environment that promotes focus and productivity. 5) Embracing Paradox: Ein Sof and the Infinite Kabbalah teaches that the divine, or Ein Sof, transcends human understanding and is both infinitely expansive and infinitely limited. Embracing paradox and uncertainty can be particularly empowering for ADHD entrepreneurs. Kabbalistic principles offer a unique, holistic approach to overcoming the challenges of maintaining focus and productivity. By applying these ancient teachings, entrepreneurs can tap into a wellspring of wisdom that promotes balance, purpose, intention, self-restriction, and adaptability. ADHD Entrepreneur Balance

ADHD Entrepreneur Balance: 5 Knockout Kabbalistic Hacks for Achieving Equilibrium

Kabbalistic Secrets to attain ADHD Entrepreneur Balance I often find ADHD Entrepreneur Balance to be a challenging yet vital path with endless adventures along the road. My unique traits and skills can contribute to innovative and successful businesses, but my foibles can really throw a wrench into the works so finding balance is essential. To navigate the entrepreneurial world effectively, I apply the Kabbalistic concepts of Chesed and G’vurah. Buckle your seat belts as we take a deep dive into these concepts and provide examples of how ADHD Entrepreneur Balance can be integrated both into their lives! Chesed and G’vurah: Exploring the Concepts Chesed, or loving-kindness, is characterized by benevolence, generosity, and compassion. It represents the desire to share, give without restraint, and connect with others. G’vurah, symbolizing strength, discipline, and control, is the counterbalancing force allowing boundaries, self-control, and focused action. Personal growth and success rely on harmonizing these opposing forces. 1) Managing Hyperfocus and Distraction ADHD entrepreneurs often have the ability to hyperfocus on tasks that interest them. While this can lead to creative breakthroughs and remarkable work, it can also result in neglecting other critical aspects of their lives. To balance this, ADHD entrepreneurs can practice G’vurah by setting time limits on their hyperfocus tasks and establishing specific goals. Conversely, they can embody Chesed by allowing themselves to take breaks and engage in activities that recharge their mental and emotional energy. Example: An ADHD entrepreneur might hyperfocus on a new marketing strategy and spend countless hours perfecting it. By applying G’vurah, they could set a deadline for completing the strategy and allocate time to address other responsibilities. By incorporating Chesed, they could schedule periodic breaks to socialize, exercise, or engage in a hobby, helping them maintain a healthy work-life balance. 2) Nurturing Relationships Building solid relationships is a vital component of a successful entrepreneurial journey. ADHD entrepreneurs may struggle with maintaining consistent, nurturing relationships due to impulsivity or inattention. Practicing Chesed involves developing empathy, active listening, and compassion in their interactions with others. Meanwhile, G’vurah helps maintain boundaries and respect for other’s needs and feelings by promoting self-awareness and impulse control. Example: An ADHD entrepreneur may unintentionally interrupt colleagues during meetings or forget vital appointments. By applying G’vurah, they can practice self-awareness and impulse control to allow others to speak without interruption. Embracing Chesed, they can make a conscious effort to remember and honor commitments, as well as express understanding and support for their colleagues’ perspectives. 3) Maintaining Structure and Flexibility ADHD entrepreneurs thrive in flexible environments that foster creativity and spontaneity. However, a lack of structure can result in disorganization and difficulty completing tasks. Balancing Chesed and G’vurah allows  for ADHD Entrepreneur Balance by creating a blend of structure and flexibility that caters to their unique needs, supporting both innovation and productivity. Example: An ADHD entrepreneur might struggle with a rigid daily schedule, leading to reduced motivation and productivity. Incorporating Chesed allows flexibility in their routine, such as designated periods for creative brainstorming or impromptu problem-solving sessions. By integrating G’vurah, they can establish boundaries and allocate specific times for essential tasks, ensuring organization and efficiency. 4) Developing Emotional Resilience The entrepreneurial journey is filled with challenges, failures, and setbacks. ADHD entrepreneurs may experience intense emotions and have difficulty with emotional regulation. Balancing Chesed and G’vurah helps them develop emotional resilience, enabling them to face adversity with courage and determination while also being compassionate and understanding toward themselves and others. Example: An ADHD entrepreneur may become overwhelmed by a business setback, leading to feelings of frustration and self-doubt. By applying G’vurah, they can practice self-discipline by acknowledging their emotions yet not allowing them to dictate their actions. Embracing Chesed, they can offer themselves and others involved compassion and understanding, recognizing that setbacks are part of the entrepreneurial journey. 5) Achieving Personal Growth Pursuing personal growth is essential for achieving ADHD Entrepreneur Balance, enabling them to harness their strengths and overcome weaknesses. By integrating Chesed and G’vurah, they can cultivate a balanced, holistic approach to self-improvement, ultimately contributing to their success as entrepreneurs. Example: An ADHD entrepreneur may identify time management as an area for improvement. Incorporating G’vurah allows them to set realistic goals, create a daily schedule, and establish routines to enhance their time management skills. By embracing Chesed, they can allow themselves the flexibility to adjust their schedule when necessary and practice self-compassion when encountering setbacks in their progress. Finding ADHD entrepreneur balance is of the utmost importance.  The correct equilibrium between Chesed and G’vurah is crucial. By integrating these complementary forces into their lives, they can manage the unique challenges of ADHD, optimize their strengths, and foster resilience. This balanced approach ultimately leads to a successful and fulfilling entrepreneurial journey. So how can you achieve ADHD Entrepreneur Balance? ADHD Therapeutic Activities

ADHD Therapeutic Activities: 5 Beefy Benefits of the Rage Room

Lets have fun with ADHD Therapeutic Activities As someone with ADHD, I’m always on the lookout for ADHD Therapeutic Activities that can help me focus and relieve my restlessness. So when a friend suggested we spend an afternoon at Smash City Rage Room, I was intrigued. I had heard of rage rooms before but had never actually been to one. I wondered if this unconventional activity would help me manage my ADHD symptoms.  It did, and more!  The Rage Room is now my favorite of the ADHD Therapeutic Activities. When we arrived at Smash City Rage Room, we were greeted by friendly staff who explained the rules and safety precautions. We grabbed our safety gear,  The helmet, the goggles, and the gloves. We walked into an 8 by 10-foot room, wallpapered with old album covers with tables containing glass bottles, old computers, DVD players, hammers, and crowbars were also given a selection of items to smash, ranging from plates and glasses to electronics and furniture. The staff explained that we could choose our own music to play in the room (of course, I decided punk rock) and that we were welcome to vent our frustrations in any way we wanted… but if we put a hole in the wall, we would be fined 1000 bucks. At first, I felt a little nervous about breaking things. But as soon as I put on my safety gear and entered the rage room, something changed. I felt a rush of adrenaline and excitement, and suddenly the thought of smashing things didn’t seem so scary.  The ADHD Therapeutic Activity was about to begin I gave an evil laugh and started with the ADHD Therapeutic Activities, smacking the computer equipment with a sledgehammer. In my mind, I had flashing pictures from the movie Office Space. It felt oddly satisfying to see the PCBs smatter to smithereens. As I continued, I found that my movements became more fluid and intuitive. I wasn’t thinking about anything except the task at hand, and I felt a sense of calm over me. After a few minutes, I switched to the bottles. My friend Alberto and I started grabbing bottles and throwing them at the albums. I nailed Andy Williams in the chin, and Alberto got Mel Tillis in the eyeball. We both continued to let out evil laughs. I was amazed at how calm and in focus, I had felt. Alberto had that reflection of relaxation in his eyes. I also realized that it wasn’t just about breaking things; it was about the physical release of tension and the satisfaction of seeing the results of my actions. By the end of the session, I was exhausted but also surprisingly relaxed. My friend and I agreed that we felt a sense of catharsis from our experience at Smash City Rage Room. We laughed as we looked at the debris around us, feeling a sense of accomplishment and release. Reflecting on the experience, I realized that spending an afternoon at Smash City Rage Room had helped me manage my ADHD symptoms in a few different ways. For once, my mind was quiet, and still, I had attained focus! Based on this experience, the 5 significant benefits were: 1) Physical release of tension: The act of smashing items can provide a physical outlet for restlessness and impulsivity, helping to release built-up tension in the body. 2) Sense of control and agency: Engaging in a controlled environment where one can make decisions and take action can help promote a sense of empowerment and power, which can be particularly valuable for individuals with ADHD who may feel out of control at times. 3) Mindfulness and focus: Focusing on the task at hand and being present in the moment while smashing items can help improve mindfulness and concentration, which are essential skills for individuals with ADHD. 4) Catharsis and emotional release: The act of smashing items can provide a release of pent-up emotions, offering a therapeutic outlet for emotional regulation. 5) Fun and enjoyment: Finally, engaging in an enjoyable and fun activity can help boost mood and overall well-being, which can be particularly valuable for individuals with ADHD who may struggle with mood swings or negative emotions. Overall, I would highly recommend Smash City Rage Room as one of the ADHD Therapeutic Activities for anyone looking for a unique and therapeutic way to manage their ADHD symptoms. It might not be for everyone, but it was an incredibly effective way to let go of my frustrations and focus my mind. Plus, it was a lot of fun! I think that the next one of the ADHD Therapeutic Activities I will take on will be… AX THROWING!!!!! So, what ADHD Therapeutic Activities are there for you to partake?
